#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Dark out when I woke at 5:30. Went quietly out of my friend’s house and down the hills for coffee and a croissant. My Monday morning poetry was to be at 7:00 a.m. out here on California time. Everything was quiet and dark. A quarter moon. Lovely and fresh, slightly cool. I found my way to an open bakery, got my coffee,, then back up the hills. It was so pretty at the water with the moonshine and the lights of the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. My poetry workshop was great; the revision I made was very much appreciated. Lots of walking today. Three walks! And it was very sunny and warm—like 80 degrees. In the late afternoon I had a nap on my friend’s patio before my third hike of the day. So many sights to see here. A lovely, quiet dinner. Frank said Wave told him Grammy was home, just invisible. And he played quite a bit with me, Frank said.
