Today, body, mind, spirit, I felt the complete arrival. We know each other now. We have all been becoming friends. There are twenty four of us: from Chile, Majorca, France, Sweden, Geneva, Argentina, U.S. . . . and we are having wonderful conversations (in English, thank goodness for English speakers!) and celebrating the friend, the dear man who has gathered us, Ivan, born here in Corsica. Tonight, we celebrated his birthday on the deck, all of us gathered, singing to him, the moon above us, the calm pink and blue sea below us and around us. What a day! Exploring a new island, swimming, visiting a monastery. Tonight we are anchored on the quiet sea. The door to our tiny, comfortable cabin is open to some fresh air. It is our 36th wedding anniversary. A day of true bliss. There is a wonderful writer who has written a lovely book in Spanish, translated into English, a book of flash prose, and I am admiring her writing so much. I felt I had my mind working sharply today, again, after the effort of getting here through so much travel and time zones and re-orientation from land to sea.
