#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

November morning

. . . Though darkness gathers, praise our crazy
fallen world; it’s all we have, and it’s never enough.

~ Excerpt from “Praise Song,” by Barbara Crooker

Bright spangling dramatic sky-color at sunrise this morning. A sky of 7 a.m. definitely worth getting out of bed to see. I needed to go out early for a walk; no swim for me today. I took a long one, as the sky and clouds morphed from purple-pink-blue-orange gorgeousness to shades of slate gray. All the leaves mostly brown instead of a brightly covered quilt over the ground. I remember now, we turn back the clock tonight. I drive to Western Mass. to meet my sister and share chatting time in the car on the way to see our Aunt and Uncle in Easthampton. A lovely visit where we’re joined by my aunt’s sister, niece, and grandniece. A very special treasured afternoon with my dad’s brother, and my dear aunt. At home, we have dinner with family and a couple of guests around the fire. We must turn back the clock, turn back the clock so tomorrow when we wake it won’t be dark. By dinner time, it certainly will be. Wave will arrive home at dusk for dinner.
