#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Sun Today
Up early for our new time and wrote a draft of a poem from a prompt that came across my desk and out the door for my wonderful swim in the pool, and then a walk, my annual birthday hike, with my son. And Charlie. A great way to start a happy Sunday. We talked so much, it was a lovely connection. A whole wonderful day well spent with an afternoon of errands with Frank too. We even bought some festive candles in anticipation of the holidays. And home just in time for me to make dinner for one and all; including Wave and my son who joined us. I made a homemade chicken pot pie, and it took me a long time! But it was worth it, as everyone ate it and appreciated my effort and we lingered at the table and really connected. And my son did the dishes! I am listening, still, to the Israeli history book, but after many hours, (it’s long!) taking a break and listening to another memoir, Everything Nothing Someone: A Memoir by Alice Carrière. Tonight, “yoga” with my boy before bed. Early dusk. Candlelight for dinner.
