She Breathes

A bonus morning: walk, then swim. And the walk was wonderful in the frozen wetlands. So much gorgeous ice. I was very happy and distracted by the images from the cold. Charlie was happy tromping around. The river is high and frozen on the spreading edges. I found a woman meditating in the ice, breathing. So conscious of her breath, so grounded. So at home in the brook with all the organic matter recycling. When I swam my laps I thought of my pictures, thought about how they made me feel, and I paid attention to my breathing and the rhythm of my swim. I felt there was a bounty of creative energy for me in my images today. Tonight, Frank and I sat side-by-side on the new couch in front of the fireplace. A quiet moment watching television together, feeling happy in our renovated home.
