In the morning brook

Big fat flakes of snow falling. And Wave has a cold. The egg hunt is off. This weather is getting to my mood. I go back to bed instead of walking or swimming. But that doesn’t last long. I go in the pool and do my laps while Wave swims, patiently, beside me. And then I do go out into the wet dreary morning. Gosh, that doesn’t sound like me. But this April weather needs to lighten up. Or not. How about I lighten up. Which I sort of did. Worked on poems. But I kind of wrote myself into some satisfaction. And then out of it. I felt more successful with dinner. I made a vegan chili for my daughter, and one with meat for Frank and Wave and both were a big success. I also have worked on an Easter basket that will be discovered in the morning, a week early.
