#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

3:15 a.m. wake up. 4:00 a.m. departure in Uber. 4:35 arrival at airport. Easy flight. Arrived late morning in San Francisco. And worked a lot on the plane. I work well on planes. At least in the daytime. I wrote a blog post for tomorrow, revised a poem for Monday, and drafted another new poem. Finished listening to Henry James, Portrait of a Lady, and started listening to The Many Lives of Ann Frank, by Ruth Franklin. So sweet to be with my friends in SF. I got to see my friend Karin from back home, while coming here to visit Liz! The three of us had coffee in the hotel where Karin is staying. A brief visit, but a wonderful chance to be together briefly. Then Liz and I went to the SF Botanical Garden. It was overcast and cool but very pleasant, and the garden is magnificent. Breathing in so many beauties; We are now at her house in Sausalito, dinner with another friend. And I am getting a bit droopy from my early early action-packed day. Tomorrow we wake early to go to a favorite place: Point Reyes National Seashore. It will be our third trip there together.
