Tonight, I imagine the snow has started to fall at home over all the land. And we had a sunset dinner at our favorite restaurant overlooking Playa Pelada, twelve of us. A perfect meal. A perfect, relaxing day. Beach walks. Pickle in the early morning sun. I felt better in the heat as we played outdoors. Just really deep relaxation today. I did about one half hour of work on my computer prepping for an upcoming event. Otherwise, talking for a couple of hours, lazily, in the pool with my daughter’s partner, just me and him and Frank. We never get to do this! Just swim and hang and chat with nowhere to be but here and now. Tonight, after dinner, I sat up with my daughter, her boyfriend and our young friend to whom I gave a massage. Such a great way to relax in the evening. Give a deep massage and let the conversation go where it will. We talked politics, but not in a stressful way. A de-stressing way? I don’t know. They are young and smart and it’s easy to talk politics with young people you agree with. Then my daughter gave me a wonderful massage so I can barely keep my eyes open. I am wishing warmth and ease and beauty and safety to my loved ones in the snow.
