How is it that I didn’t even have a moment to take a photo today? I am so glad to be here, tonight, in Bristol, with so many old and new writing friends and colleagues. What a joy to pick Maureen Murdock and Myra Shapiro up at the train in Providence to deliver us to Roger Williams University in Bristol. In my dorm room, a shared suite, bare bones college dorm, I actually have a view of the ocean! The grounds are lovely and I plan to get up early for a walk and exploration. This is my 9th year at the Annual Conference. Hello August. I’m so grateful to be here. Said goodbye to my friend Tonya who will stay over at home and leave tomorrow, and of course, I will miss my plants and hope they get watered and trust the dogs will be fed and get their medicine. And here is my medicine: starting a Play Lab tomorrow with wonderful women writers in a very special community.
