Back to the pond, the cooler pond, and I swam my mile against the light chop and the sky was entirely clear again. Then, to the plant store. Just a few additions for the shade garden that I am refreshing. Good bargains. In the afternoon, slightly revised two poems and worked a little on my play. Then off to Harvard Square with Frank to meet my dear friend and her new partner for dinner. Long walk through Harvard Yard and lots of lively conversation. We dropped them on Comm Ave, zipping through the city along the Charles toward Boston with the top down on a late lovely evening of July. July, I love you. You’re too short. Frank and I watching a replay of the Paris Olympics opening, quite stunning, even in rain. House too quiet with Wave gone for the weekend.
