#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Lovely, rain. Soon, sun. Housework. Dog-walk, swim––Farm Pond. Tired arms, back too. Hike with Wave yesterday––piggy back. Glad I swam. Sumac in bloom by the river, fresh, bright, new. Frank gone for the day. Quiet house, I work. Revise my newest poem, a few more tweaks. Ready for re-workshop. Draft another, brand new. Published today, my cover on Atlantic Northeast. My Katama sunflowers from last summer during our stay in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard on the farm owned by the Trustees of Reservations, The Farm Institute where I walked or biked every day to enjoy these welcoming, friendly faces. Tonight, Frank is home, and I’ve opened the windows. The temperature will fall to the sixties tonight, and I want that air in my room, on my skin. Heat wave, broken.
