#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
It’s Father’s Day, and Frank is already gone when I wake up. Lovely June. June 16. Happy Birthday, Mom, I think. And Happy Father’s Day, Dad, I think. And then I text the above picture to my sibs. I go out early into the yard, but today is not a gardening day. It’s an organization and packing day. Wave is gone early, so I cannot go out into the yard with him. I take my swim, and then so much housework. Being outside is wonderful. It’s cool and pleasant and sunny. Tonight, we are at the airport with dear friends. Our flight leaves soon. Tomorrow this time, we will be far away. I walked the girls around the property, showing them the process for watering all the new plants, and, of course, the vegetables. I tell them, consider this a spiritual time. To be with the dragonflies and the bluebirds and hummingbirds and butterflies. Charlie is sad. He knows change is afoot. Brittany had taken over his bed, so I brought one of her beds downstairs and put it next to his, and now she is in her own bed. Charlie is such a good sport!
