#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Wave gets ready in time for me to show him the plants in the garden. After dinner, he waters them all. This year he can really do the job on his own. Sure, with a decent amount of distraction, but still the job gets done. My work last night on my poem paid off in great feedback today in two poetry groups. I swam and felt terrific. I love all the things growing everywhere around the yard, most of which I have planted. The groundhog continues to nibble the milkweed, but I have enough survivors. My wish and hope and plan is to have many butterflies this summer. Just as Wave and I approached the garden this morning, four goldfinches sprang up from their meal in the unplanted soil. I cooked a turkey dinner and everyone ate at different times because of various activities, sports and all, but everyone went out of their way to thank me. Windows open and the sounds of the evening coming in while a bright moon rises.
