#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
I took my time into the morning. Wrote for a good amount of time about a dream I had in the early morning about returning to college and the daily newspaper for which I was one of the editors. It was a pretty cool dream and I thought a lot about it too on my walk. A long ramble in the wetlands with Charlie. I climbed to King Philiip’s Overlook, looked down, and saw the creep of the river into the field in massive puddles of overflow and I wanted to walk there. Charlie followed me over the trestle bridge and we spent a long time walking by the water, looking in the still, shallow pools. It was chilly. I got my feet wet. We walked back through the overflow of the brook and I was soaked to my knees. But the cold air felt good on my cheeks and felt rested and calmed. Spent some time writing, inspired by listening to a fabulous podcast interview of the poet Mary Reufle by the Commonplace podcast founder and host, Rachel Zucker. So, I have a draft of a new poem and notes toward two others, of revisions, from both the dream and the podcast. Even a short nap, but woken by the dog. To Harvard Square with Frank for dinner, and a concert at Club Passim, Lucy Kaplansky. Pleasantly sleepy and warm inside with the rain wetting the woods.
