#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Nearing the end of messy March. Woke up to crying before my alarm went off. Forced myself up. Brittany, who had slept on the floor of my bedroom, had found her way to the front door and wanted to be let out! She has really learned her way around. Tired as I was, it was great to know she’s figuring out life here. Helped my grandson get out the door for school with a scrambled egg croissant. Then, for my swim, another lovely one. Some doubts creeping in about my manuscript, and that’s to be expected. I swam a few laps trying to sort them out, and then realized I can just solve them by sitting down with them, and not swimming with them. A short walk with Charlie. So drab it is right now. All brown leaves and overflowing wetlands and no ice. Worked on the poem I took to workshop yesterday and I might be making progress on it. A second trip to the pool today, after school, took my grandson and we played and played, and he practiced kicking his feet and pulling his arms. I looked at the holiday wreath on the front door today and knew I should take it down. But I am waiting for a nice day when I feel like being outside and beginning the clean up. Soon enough.
