#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
A melting day. A late wake-up. A deep sleep. A lovely rest. Out my window a strange animal catches my eye, walking in the driveway. A blackish funny looking dog-like creature, not quite the size of Charlie, but pretty close. Not a dog at all. A fat, wide massively bushy tail. It’s a fisher cat! I hope Fudgy is okay. He should be, as his RV is quite safe. I check on him, let him out. All is well. I walk with Charlie and think about last night in the woods. There is ice on the brook. It’s cold, but comfortable. Revisions about the ending begin to come into my consciousness. When I get home I write them down. The house is full of change. My youngest and her boyfriend packing to move next weekend. Sigh. I am happy and sad. My daughter is same. Of course their move is great, and only to a nearby town. A short drive. But it has been really nice having them. Making dinner tonight I was conscious of this being one of our last evening dinners before they move. All of us around the table. Frank travels tomorrow. Wave is home. It’s pleasantly hectic. I’m so lucky they will be so close by. For awhile the house may be a bit too quiet. I will use my quiet time well, I’m sure. Started a new poem today, as I try to do every Sunday. It’s so rough. I need to just let it be so. Let it be young. See where it goes.
