I took a huge creative risk today, and I am very happy with the result! Home, exhausted and stimulated and satisfied. How wonderful! Liz Rose coming all the way from Ojai to perform, her husband with her, all the people who came were so supportive, so articulate in the talk-back, great feedback. Franci and Liz were wonderful in their performances. So touching. This audience was just right, just what I had hoped for. I felt so much support. I’m bleary-headed from tiredness, the good kind, and we stopped on the way home for a bite of Mexican food, Fran, me Franci, her boyfriend and my son and it was extra special to be out on a festive December night talking about our shared experience. I write about this joy as my eyes are closing. I must sleep, and yet I am so wide awake.
