Afternoon Brook

Blue sky, cold air, and lovely snow. I woke early on a tight schedule. No walk this morning, again, and I miss my time outdoors, but need my swim too. I rose early to get to the supermarket for a huge shop, family party tomorrow and Christmas Day. But delayed by Wave’s need for an egg which I was happy to provide. The whole day spent in party preparations. Cooking, shopping, setting up. This is the annual family party on my father’s side. My cousin usually hosts since his mother began the tradition, but I am hosting this year. And looking forward to it. And hope for a good night’s sleep. In the early afternoon I did get out to the yard and the brook to cut my greens for my flower arrangements. And I took a couple of short breaks to let some people know how much I care about them. I was so happy to see the brook in the snow under the blue sky. Refreshment.
