#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
~ Excerpt from “October,” by Robert Frost
A morning I jump into the stream of activity. Wave is not quite ready for school, the dogs need attention, Fudgy is crowing for breakfast––yikes. I have to wake up quickly. Finally I sit down with coffee to read the news on my laptop and realize a meeting I’m supposed to be at started 10 minutes earlier. I comb my hair, change out of pjs and jump onto Zoom It’s a meeting of the Ukrainian therapist group facilitators that meets a few times per year. It’s really good to be with everyone from all over the world who are working on this project, discussing issues. Then, my walk and my swim and tending to my plants; the quite time I need. My dear friend takes me for my birthday lunch and we have plenty of time and it’s a real treat. And a gorgeous sunny day. I like the way the house tonight still smells of the banana bread my daughter baked and took with her on a weekend away. Frank said Fudgy breached the front door again today. A nice dinner with Frank and our friend Geoff after Frank plays tennis. We are into the late October now. All the rusts and reds.
