#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

October becoming November

A very short walk. All the fog on the river takes over the yard. A little bit of wind today, a blowing the leaves off the trees day. The garden is quite overgrown and neglected. And beautiful like this, in the early sun. I have only a small amount of time to walk before my Wednesday morning writers come. Franci says, you have writing group––after your event last night? Yes. A quick turnaround. Not all of them come in person. And we have an amazing writing session. It’s amazing because they each generate something so special and interesting from the same prompt about ladders. Today I promise myself a nap. I have my Israeli group too. I am fortunate to have two deep and worthwhile sessions. I go to the food store, unpack groceries and then take the necessary nap. I wake u revived with energy to make dinner. These nights turning into November with the light dimming into early evening are relaxing and warm. We linger with conversation. Fudgy has breached the doorway, entered a few inches into the front hall before I catch him. The door was open because it’s so warm and sunny. I scooted him out, quickly. He woke me from my nap, crowing for dinner. Who would have known roosters were so sociable?
