More coolness. Deliciously summery. Charlie and I take a long hike, but get called home to help care for my grandson so my daughter can go to an appointment. So, there is garden play and watering and frog pond watching and impatiently waiting for my daughter to return. She is on a phone appointment. We play detectives and spy on her. She takes a long time. So we have to find more amusement, riding a tricycle on the driveway. When she is done, I work. Today sent off the craft essay, started the next one. No swim. Just didn’t get the urge. Lots and lots of time outdoors. Watering garden, picking tomatoes and cukes. Eggplants. coming! Frank home at dinnertime, and we’re all there around the table, and then all out to the yard to ride in the back of the tractor for a hay ride around the field and woods. Summer fun. A happy evening. A happy homecoming for Frank. And I am happy to be in bed early after a full day.
