All day the threat of thunderstorms. Did they come? No. Not here. But it meant that I didn’t swim at Farm Pond. Walked Charlie–but, not really. Because twice I backtracked to get him and he didn’t follow me from home. It’s been hot, so I let it go. And I got my walk. Today I worked on the Ukraine article, generating a new draft. Still needs a bit more work. Tried to go for a swim mid-day with my friend, but it thundered on the beach and we met inside with tea instead. So many things I thought would shape my day that didn’t happen. My afternoon client missed our session and Frank rescheduled the meeting were to have that I was going to consult with, and so I went to the pool where I found my daughter and her son in the kiddie pool. I got to let her have her lap swim, then I had mine. What a lovely late afternoon, and Frank was done early and everyone else was busy so it was our time to have time with each other. Dinner on our deck, nice conversation. Ice cream and a movie. A date at home. I was going to do yard work and plant my new flowers, but I decided to get the time with him instead. Tomorrow, perhaps, the plants, soon enough.
