#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
The brook is rushing where it runs under the Rocky Narrows path, and Charlie and I crossed it after my swim. A wonderful swim, second day in a row, energy, physical and psychic. Yes, running with the gushing energy of this storm-fed brook. Soon, as it always does in March into April, right on the cusp of spring, the brook will overflow and fill the path and only those of us with a willingness to soak our shoes and legs will wade through it to take the trail. And those with paws, of course. Charlie never hesitates. So the soupiness of spring approaches, and we had almost no snow on the ground this morning. So strange to think of those to the west of us getting more than a foot! I didn’t sleep particularly well and woke from an antagonistic dream, but my day has been happy, productive, creative, and satisfying. I am close—so close—to having the video of my book done! I like it a lot. Franci and I keep making small tweaks and sending the edits back to the studio, and I feel we’ve just sent the last tweaks in and that I will have it ready to go live within days. I had my Wednesday writers, critique group, and it’s a fun group especially because it’s multi-genre; poetry, fiction, flash fiction, memoir, and one person working on a children’s book as well. The house is sweet, even with Frank away. I am getting some wonderful quality time with my youngest. My play Lab tonight. Wow.
