A jarring wake up––later than usual. Had to take Benedryl to get to sleep last night and it knocked me out hard. The chlorine from the pool makes me itch at night. Urrgh. But I love swimming, so. And after my coffee, man, I had a great swim. Two days in a row. Then a wet walk with Charlie and my friend who’s staying here. A great talk. Today was rest and fun and friendship. A long long nap and visit from my friend who moved away, and making enchiladas to take to the party we all went to. The holidays are nearing the end, and it has been busy and fun and full of activity. Thank goodness for naps. My friend’s party tonight is a favorite of the year––festive and elegant and full of friendships. 2024 approaches: an even numbered year. I do love the even numbers! No “yoga.” I have had to put aside my dinosaur personality for Wave’s absence. Tomorrow night, he’s back, and we will roar.
