#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Christmas Eve, and yet the visit from Santa is behind us. I wake on my own. The house is quiet. Wave wakes up at the same time. I love giving him breakfast before he goes out the door; Christmas at his other house. Now we are into a strange place for Christmas Eve, having already celebrated the holiday everyone has to experience. And it’s a happy day. My quiet time in the woods with Charlie. Following trails that are not washed out. Visiting the ice. And then a swim, my mile. And all day, the quiet house, time with Frank. Out for a lovely dinner in the city with my daughter and son, just the four of us for a delicious meal and great conversation. We came home and re-watched, for the fun of it, the Seven Fishes episode of The Bear, because it’s so well written and profoundly entertaining. And tomorrow we all get to sleep in! The tent is still unreachable, except by kayak. And more rain today, but where will it go? I am so grateful tonight. To all my readers who celebrate Christmas, I wish you a merry wonderful Christmast.
