#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Morning in the wetlands
Tonight, on the way home from a dinner party, I say to Frank that I found the rain today refreshing. He much preferred yesterday’s weather. Of course, it was such a lovely, unexpected bonus day of summery bliss and the full moon. But I am enjoying the onset of early darkness, of the Novembery days approaching. Our friends had such a lovely fire in the fireplace for relaxing and being warm and comfortable inside. I walked Charlie, a short walk, early. A day off from exercise for me except for that. Worked on some poems. Tonight, the best part of the day, seeing Wave when we returned home, and of course, my chance to wrestle in yoga and Jack and the Beanstalk before bed. It’s still pouring, and the house is silent except for the rain on the roof and windows. Leaves will be coming down in this wet tonight. A lullaby of rain on trees to sleep.
