It’s my birthday in October sunshine. Golden and silvery blue sky. A stunning day. Off I go, early, to the pool for my great laps, my mile. Texts from friends and family line the day. Phone calls from dear friends. A walk with a dear friend after my swim. A lovely lunch break with Frank, spontaneous and just right. We got sandwiches and he put the top down and we drove to the river and parked and watched the leaves flitter down in the golden sun. I wrote a poem I didn’t expect to write. I sent fifteen pages of poems to Vanessa for comments. And I made a vegetable lasagna! It’s what I wanted for my birthday dinner. A new recipe, and it was delicious. I was very proud of it, and everyone really liked it. I had a lovely day. And after dinner, led my webinar, a new Play Lab series started. I love love love teaching my play lab. Being with writers tonight, embarking on a journey of discovery, that was a birthday treat.
