#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Abstract, Charles River, Trestle View
Awake early. Still on Arizona time. So happy to be home. Grey sky, yes, cold, yes. But home, and the renovation done. I go for a swim and there is no one in the pool but me. I think it must be some kind of mistake. But I guess it’s just a quiet Sunday. I dive in and swim a mile. I feel terrific. I’ve missed my daily lap swim. But Charlie is waiting at home and I am eager to take him out to the river too. There is very little ice. But I am glad to be at the river and at the brook and all my familiar places and the cold air feels fresh and stimulating. The day flies by with a special one whom I give all my attention because I am so happy to see him. There are stories to be told and buildings to be be built and destroyed and so much more. Tonight, dinner with both daughters and my daughter’s boyfriend, a casual one, a reconnecting and happy one and I do not cook or do the dishes. My daughter, my youngest says, “I’m glad you’re back,” and I agree.
