#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Menemsha Morning
Despite the prediction of rain tomorrow, tonight, the moon, unclouded. Light-burst, almost full in the sky.
A walking and writing day. And a swim, this morning at Great Rock Bight. One fisherman crossing my path. Much cooler; heat wave has passed. Worked on my manuscript. Feeling great about the progress. Listened to two Poetry Unbound podcasts, Padraig o Tuama, including one where he presents the Hannah Emerson poem discussion: “Keep Yourself at the Beginning of the Beginning”
. . . please
try to dive
down to the
beautiful muck
that helps you get
that the world was made
from the garbage at the bottom
of the universe that was boiling over
with joy that wanted to become you you . . .
Today, I did not see the osprey, but I looked up at her nest for a good long time.
