#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
The right is ours. Have it we must. Use it we will.

Moving day. First, summer garden stop Water the plants. {Tonight I am praying for rain or doing a rain dance. This parched earth needs a drink.) Well, there are a few peas in the pod on the vine. I crack one open. Tiny fingers of the Special One pluck them as fast as possible out of the pod, into the mouth. And three more pods of peas, delicious on the tongue, and taste one or two myself before they are all devoured. And how this day heated up! 95 degrees! I went into the city to help my daughter and her boyfriend load the truck. It was quite an effort, and I was glad I went because they needed me, and thanked me profusely. Frank received us on the other end. Home. Unloading. HOT HOT HOT. But we are all happy to have them settled here. And what a lovely summer we will have together. My daughter, the pixie, the sprite, the tiny powerhouse of this move! Frank and I changed our plans at the last minute, and we were okay with that, to help them. Tomorrow is our 35th wedding anniversary. After dinner, after the hustle and bustle, we sat alone on the deck in an occasional light breeze (not cool, but pleasant) And, after I cooled off in my wonderful wonderful outdoor shower (!) we talked. He said, “You are the person I most love spending time with in the world.” Well. And I said, “In thirty five years I have never doubted we would last and last and last in our marriage.” We decided to make a reservation for dinner tomorrow night since we changed out plan tonight. Thirty five years ago we had our rehearsal dinner this evening. And woke to a rainy wedding day. Forecast for tomorrow? Rain! And we need it, on so many levels!
I found a sweet and interesting thing on twitter today. My poet friend, R.J. Lambert, who reads my blog, shared an erasure of my blog yesterday. I felt so heard by this thoughtful, creative act and gift.
