#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
roses & gong
Frank slips quietly out for his flight. Later, still early, I rise. Someone in the kitchen is ready to look for the bunny as soon as I have coffee. Someone who wants to be carried, who is barefoot and doesn’t want his feet wet. My feet are also bare and get wet in the dewy grass. No sign of the bunny this morning. But we stay out in the fresh yard. Playing. It’s early, coffee in hand, but there is play. And I pull a few weeds in the garden my friend gave me where we put the Buddha Frank received from our nephew for this 60th birthday. Oh, dear. The poison ivy is growing in the Buddha’s lap! This must be remedied when I have my gloves. Later, I take Charlie and Suzi out for our walk and today I take my walking sticks having not taken them in over a year. I like how they give me a strong stride. I lead my Ukrainian support group; it’s a bit off because our translator is traveling and her Internet is in and out. No swim today, and yet it’s hot. I prep for my workshop tonight and one starting tomorrow. And I make meatballs with lots of hidden spinach for someone who needs more vegetables in his life. These are a success. Popeye would love these meatballs. The roses are blooming splendidly right now. Right along side all the weeds I don’t have time to pull. Let them all be beautiful and messy. I wonder if you’ll enjoy listening to this amazing music as much as I do.
