September sunshine blazing this morning, and went out with Charlie for a short walk. I was happily busy setting up for my Charles River Writers. Just as the group was apart to start, and the writers to arrive, the two cords of wood Frank ordered weeks ago were being delivered in the driveway, spilled on the lawn. Oh, the fires we’ll light in the living room soon. But, the writers made it indoors and we had a great first fall session. It was so pleasant, many of the writers took their pompts and writing outdoors onto the deck to sit in the sunshine. The prompt worked wonderfully, generated deep and expansive sharing and discussion. The day remained hot and I ended up taking my special someone on my back for an extra walk in Rocky Narrows in the late afternoon. Suzi came along and so we took our time, strolling along the quiet of the river with no one else out. A fantastic breeze blew up and lightened the late afternoon heat. I didn’t go into the vegetable garden. Tomorrow, the eggplant, fat and purple, must be plucked.
