I love being in my home time zone tonight. Arrival, met at airport by son. A departure, from the sweetest most wonderful adventure with my husband of thirty four years who remains in San Diego for business. My legs, with me, so satisfied, they are saying, we are flexed and jazzed and muscled and used. They like where we went, again, this morning, early, I walked from the house down the hill, past the marsh, the vast Pacific in my view, the low rollers, the low tide toward shore, toward me, I walked towards it, and then up the hill, up and up into the hills of Torrey Pines preserve, and down, down the cliffs in the sunshine to Flat Rock beach. Oh, how I’ve loved taking pictures here; how good to visit another habitat. My eyes awakening my whole being. Goodbye and thank you thank you. My daughter has stayed up and greets me as I enter. Oh, she is glad I am home, and me too. On the plane I wrote and sent my weekly Aim for Astonishing writing prompt and shared this poem I wrote about my my husband, my love, my marriage, published in 2014 in Sugared Water:
