Morning Meadow

As long a walk as I want, and the dogs too. To the meadow we haven't walked in all winter, after crossing the street. Then, home to write as long as I want. Is this new beginning holding up? Enough so that I keep going, for today. All I can do is keep going and see. It will come together or it won't. Am I committed? That's what I must resolve. My willingness to risk energy and time and hope on this piece. No guaranties. In the meadow, red wing blackbirds crowd the wetland trees. There are buds but no leaves on the hardwoods. And, today, a brilliant absence of clouds.
