#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
It's very Novembery in the woods; not so cold, but my spirit these darker days feels the shortness of the light and longs for color to brighten my mood in the browned woods. A Bach sound track lifts my mood (thanks to Tom Ashbrook and his On Point podcast interview with Eliot Fisk playing the Bach Cello Suites for classical guitar). I listen while I gather berries and greens in Rocky Narrows. For my container on the front step, I choose one berried branch from the swamp. On the way home, I find shades of green that enliven me in lifeless leaves, and bold blue in the river under a cloudless sky.
