#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Morning Brook

I love the energy and vibrancy of this morning’s brook abstract. Almost spring. The tender peace of the blue; the vibrant energy of the rust and white, moving, moving. Spring energy. Seasonal change. The change of light. Tonight Wave noticed it was dinner time and light out. It has been for a couple of weeks. But he woke up to it today. I like to feel this morning brook energy as if it’s inside me. This IS the kind of day I’ve created. Wednesday, my three group day. Morning craft. Stimulating, as always. Great writing & comments for each other. The Israeli group. The way grief is explored. The way support is like the energy of the morning group. The way love and concern are expressed. The way feelings are honestly shared. After that, I wrote a writing prompt for one of my paid Substack providers. Trying something new: send me your personal photo, a question you are asking yourself in your life, and I will create a personalized writing prompt. I have one done and two more to create. Love it. Frank is in Paris and missing me being there with him. I was invited, but I have another trip I’m taking the day he returns. He’s there on business, and I would have loved to be sharing his little studio apartment overlooking the Eiffel Tower! I made pizzas, Wave’s favorite. Then, my play lab, final session for before our upcoming showcase on April 2. Whew! These are some powerful and complex, beautiful monologues. It will be quite a show. I’m excited. We worked hard tonight, finalizing revisions. My daughter Franci generously came to read for two monologues. I am enjoying my long listen, re-reading of “Portrait of a Lady,” Henry James as part of my tour through British & American novels of the 19th century. Here are my favorite authors in order (of this group):

George Eliot

Edith Wharton/Thomas Hardy (tie!)

Henry James

Just saying. These listening experiences of favorite 19th century novels is my therapy for these bad news terrible news horrible news, I can’t believe this is happening news.
