#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Will it stay cool, or feel like summer again soon? I woke early and watched the fog curtain pull itself up from the river’s surface. Charlie and I had a long walk after I sent out my weekly writing blog. And started a new poem I thought about while on Chappaquiddick. It was a pretty quiet day around here. I rehearsed with an actor for my showcase and then tonight, after making dinner, ate a quick bite and produced my showcase from the International Women’s Writing Guild Play Lab. Well, the first of two showcases. It really went well and we had a very good audience and discussion. Very fun for me to present showcases. To see all the elements coming together. This morning I took a swim and remembered, after I wrote my blog, that I dreamed I pressed a button on my phone and inadvertently drained the pool. I had written by writing blog about Tony Hoagland’s poem, The Word, and the necessity of putting “pleasure” on our to-do list. Swimming is the pleasure on my to-do list. And every day it’s a pleasure I need to fill myself back up with.
