#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
So grateful tonight for my Charles River Writers. Eight years, going strong. Everyone just left. We had our 8th annual gathering of the writers and their family and friends, pot luck dinner and open readings on the most beautiful June night, on the deck, under the clear sky in the warm summer air. So delicious, our intimate gathering. Frank and both my daughters and both my dogs! Food and friendship, creativity and inspiration. I love what I do. That’s all I can say tonight. I’m so grateful this group is going strong. After everyone left, Frank helped me clean up, as he always does, and there was a half moon and stars in the sky. I needed to water, so I went out and visited all the growing things and gave them water. While I was in the gated garden, suddenly my daughter was there with the bucket of scraps for composting, and while I watered the vegetables, she made the compost to fertilize them. One of my writers said, your daughters are so lucky to be your daughters. I think they feel this way about me. Most of the time. But I am the one who feels lucky to be their mother.
