#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

When there is no threat of lightning or thunder, a walk in rain feels wonderful. To be washed like a tree or a plant or a rock. Brittany didn’t like the rain much, but I did. Charlie, not so much. We needed this rain. I wish I had thought to get some wildflower seeds into the soil first. My milkweed is spreading so happily around. Found some along the driveway this morning. I don’t think the groundhog knows it’s there and I don’t think he’ll find it. No nibbling. Frank arrived home and I had no appointments, but plenty to do, and it was a productive, cheerful day. Revised a poem, not sure about it. Tonight, the Journal of Expressive Writing Feature and open mic––wonderful, as usual. House quiet in Wave’s absence. Outdoor showers, from above, and also the pipe of our shower outdoors is fixed and now I love my time outside in the yard under the trees, and the walk past all the greenery after a warm one, feeling clean and summered.
