On the way to the beach, down the dirt road, I saw the colors in this rock and stopped for a picture because the rock was so enchanting. I realized after I took the photo how it had appeared to my eye as a kind of foreshadowing of the beach I would soon set my feet on. I really enjoyed my morning time on Playa Pelada, just walking from one end of the beach to the other, examining the tide pools. Meeting some friendly people. Had a very active day, between walking and swimming laps and then playing pickle ball with Frank and Po and Geoff in the late afternoon. It was still quite hot, but I am pleased that I could play well despite the heat. Frank is quite conditioned to playing tennis in the heat. We had a fun time playing as partners, too. Po and Geofff ended up beating us 3 games to 2. And then, well, that delicious ocean, what a pure pleasure to dive in for our swim into the sunset. I also had a long delicious call with my friend in San Francisco. Tonight I am quite tired in a lovely way and ready for sleep!
