Gold in the wetlands for New Year’s Eve. Conversations in the morning with dear ones and the evening with dear ones who are far away. The putting away of much of Christmas, and the baking of an applesauce cake for a dinner party. My mother’s cake, a favorite cake, an easy and delicious cake, putting my own spin on it & a spin from Franci as well. Time for writing, revising. Lots of gratitude for this past year.
