What spectacle and joy in this day. Starting at 7:00 a.m. from our hotel in Sedona. Frank went off to his AA meeting while I walked up to the Bell Rock reservation. It was quite chilly, but I was so entranced, the whole way, unbelievable beauty. And the friendliness of everyone. I had so much deep thinking, insight, gratitude and awareness. Took some notes on my phone for a poem. So happy. Then, Frank and I checked out and had a fabulous drive with amazing scenery, a relaxing and wonderful drive to the Grand Canyon, South Rim. Hiked partway down on the Bright Angel trail. The hike back up was pretty intense! Everyone so friendly. It’s really really something to see the Grand Canyon for the first time. It’s so much to absorb. I was so happy, and so was Frank. Then we were tired, our legs were tired, and we did the best thing. We drove around to every lookout we passed and stopped and drove right into sunset over the canyon. It was the sweetest happiest calmest day. Tomorrow, we rise early for a mule ride!
