It was a morning to realize I could step in and help my daughter out and drop Wave at school, as she had a friend in the process of giving birth and needed to help. So, I’m trying to get in the habit of just jumping into the pool early, even though it’s a bit cold, and even though I haven’t walked, and just getting the swim in so as not to miss it. Which is what I did at 7:00 a.m. and then got Wave his breakfast and got him into the car and off to school and even though he was a few minutes late I did a great job. Then home to craft group and then Israeli group. Wednesdays are my three group day. I also got some poems sent out and the play sent out. Took a break from making dinner. Play Lab after dinner. Vented a lot to Frank who was an ideal listener about the state of our democracy. Vented to a friend who was also an ideal listener. Channeled my energy into the Play Lab, doing something I love which supported the creativity of others. We must use and express our imaginations to keep democracy alive. It’s under a severe threat. I’m venting again. I may keep venting. May I never stop.
