This morning I woke up, fed Charlie, took Brittany out and fed Brittany before thinking––or feeling––my back. Relief! How grateful I am to feel relief and renewed energy. A stunning day. I went for my walk to the river and back with Charlie. And they day grew warmer and sunnier. I worked on the compost, carrying the bucket out and turning the bins and loading the bins. Watered some of the flowers. Wanted to stay out all day in the lovely sun, but I had a busy day. An afternoon party at my niece’s, celebrating birthdays of two nephews turning 30. So fun to be with family in the back yard in the mild summery air, telling stories, and catching up. Then, home to go to a dinner party with friends in Newton. Whew! And it was very sweet and fun, reminiscing about our Turkey cruise. Best part of today: holding my brand new great niece, Lucy, her baby freshness and innocence. Such a beauty. I’m so grateful for this day.
