#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Tonight, the moon is a domineering presence. I drove into Arlington with my daughter’s boyfriend because she was performing in the playback theatre troupe she belongs to, True Story Theater. We drove toward the almost full moon the whole way. The show was on neurodivergence, stories of being neurodivergent, or loving someone who is neuro divergent. Some great stories told and played back. It’s getting dark early. Will and I left our house after dinner in darkness. We’re there. In autumn. Last night the birthday fairies came, because the house was lit up with colorful balloons for the birthday boy. But we all woke up late, and with ten minutes to get him out the door we had little time to celebrate, but he was a good sport. We will have his party and presents in the next couple of days. It’s great to be back in the pool swimming after my walk. The trees still splendid, especially in the sunny mornings. I’m grateful for so much tonight, and for the welcoming I was able to give my grandson, and the support I was able to give my daughter, four years ago this night, when, during the pandemic, we had very very private time with him.
