#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

I woke up from a wonderful, delightful, surprising dream about Farm Pond! So, I guess my note to self here last night: “sweet dreams” worked. It was quite long and detailed but the thing was, because my friend Tonya surprised me by showing up for Thanksgiving, I discovered that there was a whole massive side of Farm Pond that I had never seen before. And, even though I couldn’t park there, (parking for residents of this community only, the homeowners) I knew I could walk there, and was so surprised that I’d not know it existed. Especially because it was heated and you could swim there year round! Such a funny and interesting dream. Thought about it all day. And what a day it was! Busy from wake-up to bed, which I am climbing into early. I got up at 6:00 and did my five mile walk. Found the nature trail I couldn’t find on my first day. It was lovely. I took few pictures because I had a long phone conversation with Frank. Then spent the rest of the day prepping for my play lab. Had great luck getting four of my actors, Florida, California, Western, MA and Sherborn to record the monologue drafts which I showed the play lab so they could see their drafts performed. It was a lot of work, and worth it. The writing has been very good; the actors did great cold reads. Dinner with the lovely Myra Shapiro, lucky me! and then the open mic readings which were wonderful, as usual, and Myra and my friend Maureen Murdock were hilarious and dynamic and what a night! So glad to be here. And tired. Whew. And I’m in the last 45 minutes of Barbara Kingsolver’s 20 hour Audible novel, “Demon Copperhead,” and I will be so sad to have it end. What a novel. Sweet dreams, I say again. Why not?
