Here I am, tucked into my tiny dorm bed in my dorm room at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. There is one special thing about this bare bones room: the windows have a view of a big evergreen that gives me total privacy and something lovely to look at with the blinds up. Days continue very hot for my walks. I stayed at the hotel until noon working, then drove the 30-40 minutes here. Walked for a couple of hours before checking in. The Morris Arboretum is very close by and I went in and walked the wetlands in the hot hot quiet afternoon. It’s fun to see old faces and new one. Dinner (well, the good is never a highlight of this IWWG conferences!) in the cafeteria and catching up. I see so many of my colleagues who are teaching well into their 80’s and I wonder, will I be one of them some day? I’m excited to start the Play Lab tomorrow. Will rise early and walk. A busy day ahead.
