#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Home
Morning comes early, and the windows wide open. I close them. Say goodbye to the red geraniums in the window boxes. We take out the trash. Send the suitcases down the ancient elevator. Soon we are at the airport. Such a smooth ride back across the Atlantic. Such a smooth return. So cool, and the thunder as we enter the door. Everything has exploded with growth in the yard. Weeds, yes, but all the ferns too and everything in the garden still growing! The peas climbing! I walk with my son to the river, it’s pouring. I see a huge fish, biggest fish I’ve ever seen jump out of the water. So happy to be home. And the rain stops, the sun comes out.
