#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Into the woods early. What a day outdoors! And still, I never got a chance to go to Farm Pond for a dip. There is someone in the household who needs to be outdoors every moment of the day, who does not want to come in. He is a frog lover, and hard worker. While I was raking in the garden, he spontaneously weeded the yard of dandelions! Somehow in the morning, I found a way to prep for my online poetry reading at noon. Friday is my day to watch the special one most of the day and yet I scheduled a poetry reading from my new book. Kathryn generously offered to watch him, but she couldn’t get here until just when I needed to go live. I somehow coaxed him into the house and put him in front of a tv and just before we went live, Kathryn scooped him out, and back into the yard they went. It was a nice reading, and I was happy to be with poetry and poets for a good hour. Frank and I went out to dinner, alone. Just a simple dinner date and conversation and a little bit of shopping for yard furniture. Time to talk and focus on each other and relax. And we did.
