#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

It is the first mild day of March:
Each minute sweeter than before
The redbreast sings from the tall larch
That stands beside our door.

There is a blessing in the air,
Which seems a sense of joy to yield
To the bare trees, and mountains bare,
And grass in the green field. . .

~ Excerpt from William Wordsworth, “To My Sister”

What is better than an all day play date? After my early swim, I spent the day in play with the special one. Every minute of our time together is a chance for silliness, joy, laughter, singing. We walked all around the old Medfield State hospital grounds, discovering trees, rocks, worms, and throwing rocks to Charlie in the Charles and watching him dive for them. We bought blueberry pie and ice cream for dinner to celebrate his mother’s birthday, and it wasn’t easy waiting all day to eat it. We went to the pool and swam and played. And finally, at dinner, got to have our pie and ice cream. And after dinner, there was a skit with a leprechaun and a pot of gold and a rainbow. And at bedtime, the mallards. And in the morning, we will go to the river and look for them together.
